Simply Books
I had a delightful experience in the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. I discovered a lovely bookstore: tasteful displays, no magazines, a few deep chairs, and, best of all, book quotes posted all around the store. After some pleasant, light book talk with the employee, I took out my journal, settled into the deep chair and started copying quotes. Here are just a few:

Yesterday we spent a lovely, sunny day going to Johnstown and seeing the two flood museums. With David McCullough’s The Johnstown Flood fresh in my mind, it was absorbing, but sobering. My brother and I have already spent several nights up beyond midnight talking, talking, talking. I am soaking up the girl time with his wife, three daughters and granddaughter. It’s so different from my male dominated environment at home, such a lovely change!

Unusual to find a bookstore like that in an airport. Neat! It’s good that you are having such a lovely time visiting with your brother and family.
You will have to give me detailed directions to said book store, we go through that airport to Michigan to see Kristian and Ela… the parents, too. We probable don’t have enough time either going or coming, but just in case we get stranded there…it would be a nice change.
Kent suffered with masculine-company withdrawls when the last boy went to college. Left in a feminine world he became conversant in all things Austen, make-up, prom dresses et accoutrement, and even watched a few PBS quilting programs. He is in a testosterone generating place now, not to worry. Deer camp with other men and only nomimal female intrusion.

Hi Sherry in Idaho – any friend of Lisa’s is a friend of mine! I’m glad that you know the bookstore. Brenda, there are two Simply Books in the airport. One is on the main thoroughfare where there are many shops.
