  • Fall Foliage – Pennsylvania

The colors down at the farm in PA have been spectacular.  Spec. Ta. Cu. Lar. A camera lens can never quite capture what the eye sees.  Every conversation in the car was interrupted by the words, “Look at *that* tree!”

Tonight is my last night of a lovely lingering; by Wednesday I’ll  be back to the books, back to teaching my son and back to real life in Oregon.  This has been an incredible time with my oldest brother’s family.  I feel like now I know my neices. In truth, now I know my brother and SIL! My husband and son were deer hunting while I was gone. They were both successful and we have organic, range-fed meat in our freezer (*wink* to our earth muffin friends).

Enjoy the pictures, my friend. Enjoy your family.  Pick up the phone and make a call.  You’ll be glad you did.

  • Wow.  Those photos are spectacular….you surely have a good eye, too, Carol.

I had a little taste of Fall on our recent trip to Michigan.  It will be two weeks or more before things change in Georgia.

So happy that you’re having a nice time with family.

  • Gorgeous, excellent photos, Carol!  You have a real gift, if you ask me.  And it reminded me of the seasons changing in Illinois when we lived there.  I remember pooh-poohing the claims of fellow students who raved about the changing seasons and their colors, until I got there.  I have to say that there is one street in Alameda where the trees grow on both sides of the street and meet in the middle to form an arch. The changing colors of the leaves is a beautiful sight as you drive through them.  I’m so glad you had such a good time with your brother and family.  Nieces are such a nice added bonus, aren’t they?

  • Feels like we’ve had a bit of vacation with you!  The pictures are great.  Have a safe trip home.

  • Beautiful pics! And I can’t wait to hear about all the reading you got done.

  • Some of those beautiful pictures  make me homesick for my native upstate NY. Not for long though – not when the snow starts falling and the temp stays below 40 for a month at a time! Have to keep reminding myself of that! Glad you had such a wonderful time with your family.

  • Beau*ti*ful photos. You do indeed have the gift of photography. I’ve been in Pennsylvania twice and both times the beauty of the state really struck me. I love the autumn. I’m so glad you had a nice visit. I can’t wait to hear more about it. Missed you.

  • Oh, I love those photos!  The colors do pale around here but just the same they have been delighting my heart.  As I was driving along one day with the colorful leaves on the trees, it reminded of the sensation of tasting.  When you taste something, you take it all in and experience it.  I felt like the leaves on the trees looked delicious!
