  • A Father’s Blessing

Curt’s words to Carson and Taryn:

    A Father’s Blessing

May God bless you with faith,
for without faith it is impossible to please God.

May God bless you with repentance,
because every faithful man and every faithful woman remains a sinner.

May God bless you with courage,
to reject the foolishness of the world and to keep the law of God in all of life.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
    Amen.

  • Beautiful!  and Beautiful again!!

You looked lovely….bronze is definitely your color :)

    And the blessing….so touching.

Oh, happy day.  Makes me smile.  Dana in GA

  • Enjoyed the pictures, Carol,
especially in light of the fact that I will be the mother of 2 grooms this summer.
Did you have trouble finding a beige dress? I am hoping one dress will work for 2 weddings.
The bride’s bouquet is just gorgeous and they are a very lovely couple.

  • Thank you Dana!

And thanks Cindy! I wrote about finding the dress here: http://www.xanga.com/magistramater/540868537/item.html
My girlfriend just had two weddings five months apart and wore the same dress to both.
My DIL, oldest son’s wife, is a florist and did all the flowers. She did an incredible job.

  • Carol, what a beautiful couple!  It looks like such a happy event.  Congratulations on your new family member!  -Amy

  • Such wonderful photos!  Someone did a great job.  You must have been so proud of ALL your boys that day :)   And I LOVE your hairstyle.  What a beautiful bride she was, too!

  • Oh Mel, if you only knew how traumatic that day was! Power outages, missed exits and Seattle traffic! My sister and I arrived at the hotel at 4:00. As we walked into the room, Curt said, “Pictures are now, dear. We’re supposed to be there.” I was unshowered and 20 minutes away from the wedding. After a 3 minute shower, I just turned the hairdryer on high and blew through it. Yikes!

  • Beautiful. Everyone and everything!

From the pictures, you’d never know the havoc the weather played!

I love your dress and agree with Dana, bronze is a great color for you!

Handsome men in your family. And you have a beautiful new daughter-in-law.

  • SEE!  I TOLD you it was beautiful!!!    I’m still rejoicing.

  • How eternally beautiful.  What a lovely groom’s mom you were. The pictures are gorgeous, and the blessing was almost as breathtaking as the bride.

  • Thanks for sharing the photos, Carol. The wedding looks like it was a lovely occasion.

  • Carol,

I am who-knows-how-far-away from these years of brides and grooms and bronze dresses, but these photos are a beautiful testimony to your son’s wedding. If I hadn’t read about the circumstances, I never would have guessed it was anything but “as planned.” May they have years and years and years of glorifying the Lord in all they do.

  • How beautiful, Carol! The pictures, you, everything!

  • I like the loving glances!

    Very sweet!

  • I have heard the Tolly girls version, the Mrs.T version, but couldn’t imagine the beauty of it until the pictures!

God’s blessing on theas they go His way!

  • The joy just leaps out of the photos. Many blessings to you and to the happy couple.
