His banner over me is love.

It was very hot in Wheaton, Illinois. From my journal:
“I will never forget how Curt sweat like a thunderstorm.” <g>

Ten years along in our journey.

From the 14th century poet, Christine de Pisan

    Dolce chose est que mariage,
Je le puis bien par moy prouver

    Marriage is a sweet thing,
I know that from my own experience.

  • Aww, how lovely!! Happy Anniversary!!

  • May God pour blessings upon you and your husband this day and this year.  May your marriage bloom and become richer each passing week.  May you know the joy of representing Christ in your marriage to the unsaved, and may your children find strength in your example.

  • Thank y’all so very much. The actual day is tomorrow (Sunday). We were shopping today and decided to make a lovely meal together full of special things instead of the usual meal out.

    Menu:

    Hummus and crackers
    Sushi

    Salmon (from Alaska)
    Green salad
Fresh corn on the cob from a roadside stand
    Vegetable stir fry

A beverage that either sparkles or slushes

    See you again on Monday!!

  • Happy Anniversary!

Hope y’all are enjoying a special *date*

  • WOW! Does that first photo ever bring back memories!!! It was one of the loveliest weddings I’ve ever attended – including Danny singing “Great is Thy Faithfulness” :) And I think you’ve finally “arrived” when a special home-cooked meal beats out a restaurant, too. Love and warmest wishes to you both – and enjoy your naps!!!

  • Happy Anniversary dear friend! What a beautiful sweet bride. And you were back then as well. Ah the beauty of continually growing love. Blessings for many more wonderfu years. Maxine in SC

  • Sweet memories, lovely pictures. Many congratulations to you!

  • Happy Anniversary!  Saw your comment back to mine on Carmon’s blog, and had to hop on over and say, “hi” and wish you a bit belated happy 29th anniversary.  Our 29th is on August 19.  Love the pictures from your wedding….white tuxes for the guys was all the rage in 1978!

  • Thank you Cheryl! My kids look at the white tuxes and cringe. Oh well!! (grin)

  • Belated congratulations! I love the photos, both from the wedding and 10 years in. Precious!

Do you have a local sushi market? I’m jealous!

God bless you and your marriage,

    Sandy

  • Aww Sandy, we were at Costco and just picked up – what are they called?- American Rolls. A local sushi market? No, girl, nothing remotely like it.

True story – you came to mind when we purchased the rolls. You’ve mentioned how you and Terry like sushi several times.
