What a nice *way with words*
You definitely qualify as a *wordsmith*
Dana in GA
Am I being too obvious by asking you to add the Bible in here?
Thank you, dear Dana.
A good question, Mel. I thought about it, I did. In one sense we are the Bible to other people. But in another sense the Bible is Divine revelation. It was my *high* regard for the Word of God that held me back. Writing “You are my Bible” next to “You are my Trollope” just seems irreverent to me.
I even played with different characters “You are my David, blah blah blah” but that was distracting.
Maybe, You are my Bible, Audio, video, disco, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Never shy about offering my opinion, I concur with Carol.
Just because the Bible isnt mentioned doesnt mean it isnt ranked highest on the list. Kind of goes without saying, especially in light of the books which are listed.
Dana
Ooooh! This was my dessert this evening. Lovely, lovely.
I agree with Carol and Dana. I know tongue-in-cheek when I see it with tollyt. I would have had Ellis Peters as my mystery writer. You are my mystery in a monks cowl. Thanks to you I am a Trollope junky now. Blessings, M in SC.
That was great, Carol!! The Chilton, Fish and Game Regs and Cabela’s catalog are a nice touch
.
